Many of you will be familiar with the traditional ‘3 Peaks’ event, which involves climbing the 3 highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in 24 hours, driving from one peak to the next. Rather than driving, we’ve decided to get back on our bikes and cycle between each of the peaks. We’ll be undertaking this fundraising challenge for Cancer Research UK in August; it will involve hiking 25 miles, and cycling almost 500 miles, with a total elevation gain of 33,000 ft (more than the height of Everest).
The whole challenge will take us 8 days. We will be finishing by climbing Snowdon on Monday 27th August (Bank Holiday Monday). If anyone would like to join us at Snowdon, we’d love to see you. If you’re feeling energetic you could climb up and down with us, for those not feeling too energetic you could take the train up and join us walking down, or if you’d like to get the train both ways, we’d love to see you at the top. For those walking, we plan to meet at the Pen-y-Pass car park at 12 noon. For further information click below:
